Can I take a moment to appreciate the fact that Starfire in Teen Titans was probably one of the most intensely interesting and well portrayed characters from comics I have ever seen?
She was happy and giggly and a fish out of water. She was a friend to everyone and fiercely protective of them. She dealt with racism from other aliens, the weight of being a Princess, having to fight her own sister, and constantly being beset on all sides by men who wanted to treat her like this fragile little waif because she was absent-minded and didn’t look as physically strong as a male superhero.
And the best part is that she refuses to ever let anyone or anything treat her like she’s not a threat, and God help you if you manage to hurt her friends. Powers, no powers, she will straight fuck you up full force if you want to play that game with her.
Hell, she even became a close friend to Raven and came to understand her probably more than any of the Titans save possibly Beast Boy. I could go on and on at length about how much I enjoy Teen Titans Starfire for her badassery, but I’ll spare everyone the rant.
